METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ENCODING TEXT DATA AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DECODING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To perform compression and thawing by a simple system by performing encoding by only a control code when a character string is constituted of special characters, by adding a compression object character to the control code when it is constituted of normal characters and by adding a non-compression character to the control code when the non-compression character is present. CONSTITUTION: Text data are inputted through an input device 11 to an encoding device 10, the text data are stored in a buffer memory inside a first CPU 14 and compression data generated by an encoding processing by the first CPU 14 are stored in a first storage part 13. Prescribed data among the data stored in the first storage part 13 are extracted and transferred through a communication control part 14 to a decoding device 20 which is a server. In this case, the encoding is performed by the control code when the character string of a compression object is constituted of the special characters, the encoding is performed by adding the compression object character to the control code when it is constituted of the normal characters and the encoding is performed by adding the non-compression character to the control code when the non-compression character is present.
