PRODUCTION OF INORGANIC CEMENT PANEL AND PRESS MOLDING APPARATUS OF INORGANIC CEMENT PANEL

PURPOSE: To prevent the scattering of a powder mixture material at a time of press molding by subjecting a double-layered panel to press molding while evacuating the cavity between upper and lower molds from the periphery thereof under reduced pressure. ;CONSTITUTION: In a press molding apparatus of an inorg. cement panel, a powder mixture material is scattered over the upper surface of a green sheet being a first layer to form a second layer to obtain a double layered plate 3. After the double layered plate 3 is placed on a lower mold 2, the upper mold 1 is allowed to fall at a constant speed while the air between lower and upper molds 2, 1 is discharged from a suction port 4 under reduced pressure to clamp the double-layered plate 3 to apply embossed patterns to the surface of the double-layered plate 3. At this time, since the air present between the upper and lower molds is discharged to lower the atmospheric pressure between both molds, when the upper mold 1 is allowed to fall to be brought into contact with the second layer of the double-layered plate 3, the amt. of air expelled to the outside from the peripheral part between the upper mold 1 and the double-layered plate 3 is reduced and generated air becomes weak.
