PURPOSE: To exclude disturbance in detecting a width end part of a metallic belt by an organic substance layer, adjust the width center of the metallic belt to the center of carrying equipment, and correct meandering of the metallic belt having the organic substance layer on a surface by arranging vortex flow sensors to detect a position of the width end part of the metallic belt. ;CONSTITUTION: A work side vortex type flow sensor 1 is installed in a work side sensor moving device 3 to move according to a movement of a width end part of a metallic belt. A drive side vortex flow type sensor 2 is similarly installed in a drive side sensor moving device 4. Absolute position detectors 21 and 22 to detect positions of the vortex flow type sensors are connected to the sensor moving devices 3 and 4.
