摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a heat-resistant material by forming a block polymer comprising polymethylphenylsilane segments and segments of a polymer of a cationically polymerizable monomer. ;CONSTITUTION: Polymethylphenylsilane is introduced into a reactor made of Pyrex or the like together with an onium salt, e.g. N-ethoxy-2-methylpyridinium iodide, benzaldehyde, Zn2, and a cationically polymerizable monomer, e.g. butyl vinyl ether, in respective given amounts. The reactor is evacuated to replace the atmosphere in the reactor with nitrogen, before it was sealed. The sealed reactor is irradiated for a given period with monochromatic light with a given wavelength obtained by treating xenon lamp light with a monochrometer. Thus, polymerization is conducted to obtain a heat-resistant block polymer which comprises polymethylphenylsilane segments and segments of a polymer of the cationically polymerizable monomer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
