PURPOSE: To prevent efficiently discoloration of a paulonia thin plate stuck to a surface of a veneer by a method wherein a paulonia wood is dipped in a treating tank in which treating solution of hydrogen peroxide and alkaline solution in a specified ratio is filled, and an inside of the thin plate is forcibly permeated by the treating solution by reducing pressure pressurizing the tank. ;CONSTITUTION: Treating solution 3 in which 1 pts of hydrogen peroxide and 0.1-1 pts. by vol. ratio of alkaline solution of a cetone are mixed is filled in a pressure vessel 6. A thin plate 1 tied after laminating is dipped in the treating solution 3, and pressure of an inside of the pressure vessel 6 is reduced by minus two atmospheric pressure. Thereby, the treating solution is quickly permeated into the thin plat 1. By taking out the thin plate 1 after several minutes or several tens minutes and drying, a sufficient bleached effect can be obtained. Further, the thin plate is prepared by laminating thin sheets 1, 1... of paulonia wood sliced to at least 0.1mm, with batter 2, 2 for prevention of warp and deformation on and under it to be fixed by tieing.
