CONTROL OF BOILER INLET TEMPERATURE IN COKE DRY QUENCHER AND PRODUCTION OF POWDERY COKE

PURPOSE: To obtain powdery coke at low cost on an industrial scale through such process that high-pressure steam to be recovered by the waste-heat boiler of a CDQ is stably recovered on an industrial scale by raising the inlet temperature of the waste-heat boiler independently of the variation in the amount of blast furnace coke subject to dry quenching in the CDQ, the combustion of the coke itself in the prechamber is suppressed to keep coke properties, and the prechamber is fed with powdery coal containing unburned combustible residual volatiles derived from the charged coal together with air for conveying and burning the powdery coal. ;CONSTITUTION: When the boiler inlet temperature in a CDQ falls, the prechamber of the CDQ is fed with powdery coal containing unburned combustible residual volatiles derived from the charged coal together with air to supply combustion heat to control the steam boiler inlet temperature at a target level.
