A novel olefin polymerization catalyst comprising the following components (a), (b) and (c) is disclosed and an olefin polymerization method using the catalyst is disclosed. (a) at least one transition metal compound r0x R1a r2b R3C C r4d m represented by the formula (m) is a transition metal selected from the group consisting of zirconium, titanium and hafnium; R1 is a polydentate ligand or a single locus ligand; R2, R3 and R4 are independently independent, multiple A ligand or a monodentate ligand, halogen, hydrogen, or alkyl group, aryl group, or derivatives thereof; a is an integer greater than or equal to 1, B, C, D is an integer of 0 to 3, but a + B + C + D = 4; R0 is a divalent group that binds one and R2 selected from R2, R3 and X is 0 or 1.
