CEMENT-ASPHALT EMULSION COMPLEX FOR FACING

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject complex usable at normal temperature, having excellent dry shrinking resistance and water-permeation resistance and exhibiting excellent tensile strength by compounding a cement, a fine aggregate and an asphalt emulsion at specific ratios. ;CONSTITUTION: This complex is composed of 20-40 pts.wt. of a cement, 10-30 pts.wt. of a fine aggregate and 30-50 pts.wt. of an asphalt emulsion. The range of the compounding ratio of the components is shown in the triangular coordinate diagram. Various kinds of cement can be used as the cement component. The fine aggregate is a granular material such as crushed stone, crushed pebble, gravel, iron slag, sand and the like and remaining on sieves of 0.074-2.36mm. The asphalt of the asphalt emulsion is e.g. natural asphalt having a penetration (25°C) of preferably about 40-300. The solid content of the emulsion is preferably 50-70wt.%. The asphalt emulsion is produced generally by emulsifying and dispersing one or two kinds of asphalt in water using an emulsifier, a dispersing agent, a stabilizer, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
