PURPOSE: To perform stable and reliable data processing free from erroneous communication even at the time of using optical fiber links in an I/O device network or the like. CONSTITUTION: Central processing complexes(CPC) 10A to 10N are connected to a connecting function(SES) 16 through message routes, and the connecting function searches message routes, through which messages can be sent between CPCs and between the SES and one or more CPCs, and is provided with a message route condition table having entries for message route designation, and each entry has an indication means which indicates whether the message route is in the active state or not, and plural connection routes between the connecting function and a system in CPCs are recorded in the connecting function, and a mechanism is provided which correctly connects and validates each message route.
