PURPOSE: To obtain an org.-inorg. hybrid thermosetting, flame-retardant foam compsn. which is lightweight and excellent in elasticity, heat resistance, and fire resistance by reacting a specific org. component with a specific inorg. aggregate under specified conditions. ;CONSTITUTION: 2-8mol of formaldehyde is subject to an addition reaction with 1mol of a polyamine component comprising 100-1mol% compd. of the formula and 0-99mol% mono-ε-triazine compd. and/or (thio)urea, giving a monomer or a precondensate. An org. component is prepd. by compounding 39.98-80wt.% available resin component of an aq. diguanamine-based polyvalent aminoplast resin precursor soln. contg. 10-85wt.% above-obtd. monomer or precondensate with 19.98-60wt.% org. poyisocyanate, 0.01-3wt.% urethanizing tert. amine catalyst, and 0.01-5wt.% anionic surfactant and/or silicone foam stabilizer 100 pts.wt. the org. component is reacted with 70-850 pts.wt. inorg. aggregate selected from amomg anhydrous gypsum, etc., in the presence of water in an amt. of 0.5-2 times the theoretical amt. for hydrating and hardening the aggregate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
