PURPOSE:To receive crumbs dropped from above and to collect them from a covering plate into a baking chamber by a method wherein an upper part of the covering plate extending down to an inner bottom part of the baking chamber is rotatably attached to an inner lower part of a door member and the hinge of the door member is covered by the covering plate. CONSTITUTION:A door plate 6 is opened to cause an upper net 4 and a lower net 5 to be moved forwardly and then a baking item can be easily stored. A part of material dropped from a broiled item, i.e. residues suck as crumbs or liquid dew or the like drop onto a covering plate 13 and they do not drop into a clearance between the door 6 of which cleaning is difficult and a front end part of the baking chamber when the item is to be stored. After storing, the door plate 6 is closed, the net having the baking item mounted thereon is moved into the chamber and then the covering plate 13 is retracted while keeping its inclined angle. Residues on the surface of the covering plate 13 drop through this movement, pass through a reflection plate 15 and the crumbs are stored in a dust tray 16. When a rear end of the covering plate 13 moves on the reflection plate 15, the residues mounted on the plate are scraped into the tray 16, resulting in that the surfaces of the covering plate 13 and the reflection plate 15 are kept clean and an efficiency of heating operation is kept well.
