PURPOSE: To provide the coating and/or impregnating agent(s) with which any nonmagnetic material irrespective of the kind of the object material can simply be provided with magnetically attractable properties or with a function as a magnet through applying a magnetic field to the resulting magnetically attractable material by mixing a powder of a material having attractable properties to magnets into the nonmagnetic material. ;CONSTITUTION: The surface of an object material 4, e.g. a plastic material, is coated with a coating and/or impregnating agent(s) 2 contg. a prescribed amount of a powdery magnetically attractable material or magnetizable material 3. By coating the surface of the object material 4 with the agent(s) 2 or applying a magnetic field to the material 4 after the coating, the nonmagnetic material such as plastic material can be provided with magnetically attractable force or converted into a magnetized material. For example, when this magnetically attractable or magnetized material is a wall or board-like body material, a paper sheet made of a magnetized material, etc., can be stuck on the magnetically attractable wall or board, or magnetic metal goods such as paper clips, etc., or any other magnetically attractable material can be stuck on the magnetized wall or board.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
