METHOD FOR DECARBURIZATION-BLOWING CHROMIUM-CONTAINING STEEL

PURPOSE: To provide a decarburization-blowing method being suitable to a steel having the wide range of Cr content. ;CONSTITUTION: In the decarburization-blowing method of the steel containing the chromium, oxygen blowing quantity Qo, inert gas blowing quantity Qd and stirring gas blowing quantity Qb (unit is Nm³/min T in all) are set or controlled so that an index CRDC defined by the following equations with the above variables and Cr content [%Cr], Ccontent [%C] (unit is wt.% in both), slag unit quantity Ws (kg/T) bath height H (m) becomes ≤500 to execute the decarburization-blowing. CRDC=X.Y.Z. Wherein, X=2Qo/(2Qo+Qd), Y=Qo Ws/[%C] Z=[%Cr]^1/2/(Qb^1/3.H^2/3). By this method, Cr loss is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
