PURPOSE:To improve reliability by reading data at the detection of the full bit of a storage means, rearranging the data in the order of track numbers of a magnetic disk device and writing the data in the magnetic tape device so as to relieve remarkably the load of the software and to improve the maintenability of the data. CONSTITUTION:A tape control section 14 supervises full bits 15a, 15b in storage sections 13a, 13b and detects the set state of the full bit 15a of, e.g. the storage section 13a, then the data are read from the storage section 13a, a data arrangement conversion circuit 16 arranges the data in the order of tracks of the magnetic disk device 2 and writes the data in the magnetic tape device 3 via a data line 103. When all the data read from the storage section 13a is finished, the storage section 13a resets the internal full bit 15a based on the command of the tape control section 14. The tape control section 14 repeats the same processing alternately such as the storage section 13b and then the storage section 13a again.
