PURPOSE: To miniaturize a gyrotron apparatus and improve the operationability and reliability by carrying out oscillation movement of the gyrotron by a magnetic field generating apparatus composed of permanent magnets and electromagnets and installing a temperature measuring means for the permanent magnets. ;CONSTITUTION: About 5.2KG magnetic flux density in axial direction, for example, is necessary for a cavity resonator 6 to obtain oscillation with 28GHz frequency by second harmonic oscillation. To obtain the magnetic flux density, for example, 5KG is generated by permanent magnets 20 and 0.2KG is generated by a main magnetic field finely adjusting electromagnets 30, so that an excitation electric power source can be miniaturized and consumption electric power can be lowered. Since the magnetic flux density generated by the permanent magnets however differs depending on the temperature at the time of use, a temperature detector 70 and a temperature measuring apparatus 80 are previously installed and the output of magnets 30 is corrected based on the previously measured data.
