PURPOSE:To obtain a shampoo composition causing neither change in color nor fading with light, by mixing a composition blended with an imidazoline type ampholytic activator with specific dye and a heavy metal. CONSTITUTION:(A) 1-45wt.% compound shown by formula I or formula II [R1 and R3 are 7-19 hydrocarbon group; R2 and R4 are CH2COOM or CH2CH2 COOM (M is H, alkali metal or alkanolamine); R5 is or R2] is blended with (B) 5-500ppm heavy metal selected from Fe3+ or Cu2+ (e.g. blended as salt such as FeCl3 or CuSO4) and (C) 0.000001-0.001 water-soluble or oil-soluble dye having an anthraquinone skeleton (e.g. Sudan Blue or quinizarin green SS). The contents of the components B and C are especially preferably 10-50ppm and 0.00005-0.0005wt.%, respectively.
