WATERPROOFING OF SUBMERSIBLE THERMALLY SPRAYING GUN AND SUBMERSIBLE THERMALLY SPRAYING GUN

PURPOSE: To easily and perfectly prevent infiltration of water into a submersible thermally spraying gun by increasing the pressure in this gun higher than the water pressure, thereby preventing the infiltration of the water into the gun. ;CONSTITUTION: A nozzle 30 is fixed via a nozzle fixing cap 29 to the front end of a gun body 28 of the thermally spraying gun 1. Plural shielding flow ejection ports 19 are disposed around an atomizing air ejection port 31 in the central part thereof. Compressed air is supplied from an air hose 15 to inject the thermally spraying jet flow. High-pressure air is supplied through a small hole 39 into the thermally spraying gun 1 to make the pressure in the gun 1 higher than the water pressure, by which the infiltration of the water into the gun 29 is prevented. As a result, the thermally spraying gun is easily and completely subjected to waterproofing even if the thermally spraying gun has parts of which the hermetic sealing is infeasible or difficult.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
