DEVICE FOR DETECTING POSITION OF FILTER CLOTH-HANGING ROD IN FILTER CLOTH TRAVELING TYPE FILTER PRESS

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of damage of a filter plate or the like by providing a limit switch in a fitting member to detect actuation of a movable member. CONSTITUTION: A fitting member 12 is arranged in the upper positions of the respective filter plates 1 which are detachably arranged side by side. A movable member 26 is fitted to the fitting member 12 rotatably in the vertical direction and fitted thereto freely and verticaly movably. A pair of filter cloth-hanging rods 9 are arranged on both sides of the filter plate 1 to hang filter cloths 8. The movable member 26 is installed between the rods 9 and placed thereon. A limit switch 22 is provided in the fitting member 12 to detect movement of the movable member 26. Therefore, when the filter cloth-hanging rods 9 exist in the normal positions, the movable member 26 installed between the rods 9 and placed thereon is not actuated. The limit switch 22 detects actuation of the movable member 26. In such a way, since the limit switch 22 is used as the detection means of the positions of the rods 9, the positions of the rods 9 are detected surely and accurately without being influenced by the ambient environment.
