PURPOSE: To improve heat exchanging performance by a method wherein a multi-tube type heat exchanger, utilized for an air conditioner or the like for a motorcar, is constituted of a plurality of pipes, extending in the same plane in parallel to each other, and a multitide of linear fins, connecting the neighboring pipes. ;CONSTITUTION: A heat transfer tube 5 is formed of a plurality of pipes 5a, extending in up-and-down direction in a plane, spread in right-and-left and up-and-down directions, in parallel to each other, and a plurality of linear fins 5b, extending in right and left direction in said plane and connecting the neighboring pipes 5. A heat exchanger is constituted of a multitude of pieces of the heat transfer tubes 5 arranged between first and second tanks 1, 2. Such heat transfer tube 5 is produced by a method wherein a member A, consisting of a plurality of pipes 5a and a sheet body 5b', connecting neighboring pipes 5a, is formed by extrusion forming and, thereafter, slit sections 5b" are punched from the sheet body 5b' by press work to form the linear fins 5b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
