LOAD DETECTION DEVICE FOR ROPE TYPE ELEVATOR

PURPOSE: To accurately measure a load in an elevator cage, independent of the level of the cage in a shaft. ;CONSTITUTION: A zone detection means 18 detects what zone an elevator cage belongs to via the vertical division of an elevator shaft into a lower zone, an intermediate zone and an upper zone. A change means 19 selects a limit switch 15a, when the cage is positioned in the lower zone, and selects a limit switch 15b, when the cage is positioned in the intermediate zone, respectively on the basis of detection output from a zone detection means 18. Also, the means 19 selects a limit switch 15c, when the cage is positioned in the upper zone, on the basis of the detection output as well. The limit switch 15a generates detection output, when a cargo load exceeds the first present value, and the limit switch 15b generates detection output, when the load exceeds the second preset value larger than the first preset value. Furthermore, the limit switch 15c generates detection output, when the load exceeds the third preset value larger than the second preset value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
