PURPOSE: To obtain a long, thin-wall and small piece of Laminariaceae having large cross section and having parallelogram, viewing from a plane and from the side. ;CONSTITUTION: Sheet-like Laminariaceae 2 is intermittently fed by a carrying means 3 and cut by a cutter 17. The Laminariaceae 2 is held by a holding means 6 in cutting to prevent drawing of Laminariaceae 2 into the cutter 17. The cutter 17 is provided with a trigonal pyramid-like blade 20 and a guide lower blade 14 is installed below the blade. The upper face 16 of the guide lower blade 14 consists of a plane face 16A and curved face 16B continuously provided in the rear end of this planer face 16A and curved in a state of recessed face. The trigonal pyramid-like blade 20 cut the Laminariaceae so that the cut face may be inclined to longitudinal direction and width direction. Thereby, thin-wall and small piece of Laminariaceae having parallelogram, as a plan and side views is produced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
