PURPOSE:To secure insulation between inner electrodes, and improve the reliability of an element, by laminating many piezoelectric ceramic plates via the respective inner electrodes, and bringing the whole peripheral surface of the lamination body into a mirror surface state. CONSTITUTION:A lamination body 4 is constituted by stacking many piezoelectric ceramic plates 2 via the respective inner electrodes 3. The peripheral surface 4a, 4b of the lamination body 4 is equipped with an outer electrode stretching upward and downward. The whole peripheral surface of the lamination body 4 is in a mirror surface state where burr and warp of the inner electrodes and unevenness of the ceramic surface are eliminated. As a result, gaps of the inner electrodes are normally kept, the attaching of fine dusts turning to nucleon when water contents in the air are condensed is excluded, and stable electric insulation can be obtained in the case of high voltage driving. Thus insulation between the inner electrodes is sufficiently secured and the reliability of an element can be improved.
