PURPOSE:To perform the smooth assembling at the time of assembling two casing members respectively provided with required members by forming a guide face, for eliminating mutual interference among components on each casing member side, at an appropriate place. CONSTITUTION:Parking mechanism is provided with a first casing 10, in which a parking pawl 14 rotatable on a pin 12 and a return spring 20 for energizing the parking pawl 14 to the non-meshed position side with a parking gear 52 are assembled. The parking mechanism is also provided with a second casing member 18, in which an actuator supporting member 24 is rigidly fixed as well as a parking actuator 26 for rotating the parking pawl 14 onto the meshed position side by cam action in a P range is provided. In this case, the actuator supporting member 24 is provided with a guide face 50 integrated formed thereto to be brought into contact with the corresponding guide part of the parking pawl 14 at the time of assembling both the casing members 10, 18 and to rotate the parking pawl 14 against the return spring 20.
