READER/WRITER FOR NON-CONTACT IC CARD AND READER/WRITER SYSTEM FOR NON-CONTACT IC CARD

PURPOSE: To provide a reader/writer for non-contact IC card with which the reliability of communication between the reader/writer for non-contact IC card and the non-contact IC card is improved and malfunction caused by the transmission/-reception defect of data between the reader/writer and the non- contact IC card is prevented. ;CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a main body 1a of the reader/ writer electrically connected to an external host device 2 so as to perform the control of communication and an antenna part 22 provided outside the main body 1a of the reader/writer and electrically connected to the main body 1a of the reader/writer so as to exchange signals due to electromagnetic waves with the non-contact IC card, and the antenna part 22 is L-shaped. Since the antenna part 22 is L-shaped, however the non-contact IC card is directed, the surface of the antenna part and the non-contact IC card are not vertically positioned, and satisfactory communication is possible at all times.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
