PURPOSE:To provide a hermetically sealed type storage battery safety valve capable of keeping low a valve opening operational pressure from the beginning of assembling a battery and limiting the increase in the valve opening operational pressure with the passage of time. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating agent 3 is made by adding graphite fine particles powder having particle diameters (1mum or more and less than 40mum) capable of forming gaps not producing liquid leakage between an exhaust valve cylinder 1 and a valve body 2 to lubricating oil such as silicone oil and the like by 10 to 20wt.%. This lubricating agent is interposed between the exhaust valve cylinder 1 and the valve body 2.
