PURPOSE: The provide an alternative function to a leased high-speed digital line having plural connection destinations because of using the multiple access service. ;CONSTITUTION: In a time division multiplexer 101, a fault detection part of a private line terminal panel 108 detects the fault of a point C. It is notified to a control part 114 as well as a fault generation time slot position. The control part 114 is a link between the time division multiplexers 101-102 from the time slot of the fault generation and the self station judges it as an originating call side. The ISDN terminal panel to be used and he channel and connection information are obtained from backup information of the link where a fault is generated. The control part 114 sets the transmission of the only link data including the fault generation time slot in the data hand link part of an ISDN terminal panel 111 to an ISDN line 117.
