PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the force acting on a pedal during a periodically pedaling period visually confirmable by a runner by measuring the shearing deformation added to a pedal shaft by an elongation measuring piece in two directions orthogonal to the pedal shaft. SOLUTION: Since elongation measuring half bridges 1-4 provided on a pedal shaft 11 are connected as two Wheatstone bridges 1, 3 and 2, 4, shearing deformation is recorded in two independent directions. The shearing deformation added to the pedal shaft 11 between a bearing and shaft connecting part is measured by the elongation measuring pieces in two directions orthogonal to the shaft 11, and the angle of the force related to the shaft is calculated from them by vector calculation. The direction of the force to a crank shaft and a crank 10 by mounting is regulated by this angle, and the angle of the pedal force to the coordinate system connected to a runner is calculated.
