PURPOSE: To arbitrarily set and alter the division of an energy value at the time of the collection of three-dimensional image data by indicating the address of an image collection means by a non-linearly converted energy signal and a two-dimensional position signal. ;CONSTITUTION: The two-dimensional position signals X, Y of radiation and energy signal Z outputted from a radiation detector 1 are converted to signals Dig.X, Dig.Y and Dig.Z by A/D converters 2-4 and the signal Dig.Z is non- linearly converted to a signal Dig.ZNL by a conversion table memory 5 and counting is performed by the address indicated on the basis of the signal Dig. ZNL. Therefore, the address of an image collection memory 7 is indicated on the basis of the signals Dig.X, Dig.Y and the signal Dig.ZNL to arbitrarily set and alter the division of the energy value at the time of the collection of three-dimensional image data only by altering conversion characteristics. As a result, data collection suitable for performing the optimum post-processing can be performed, for example, so that data is collected in fine division within an energy region high in importance and in rough division within an energy region low in importance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
