PURPOSE: To provide an attitude control system for a machine tool and a tool which pays an attention to a tool supporting section, and can make the attitude of the tool variable. ;CONSTITUTION: A displacement generating means 3 for making the attitude of a tool variable is provided in a spindle unit 2 to support a work W. The displacement generating means 3 generates the angular displacement of a cross feed shaft. In the case of feeding the tool to the work, the displacement generating means 3 generates angular displacement so that the attitude of the tool may be inclined in a direction where the front end in a feed direction of the tool separates from the work W.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
