PURPOSE: To provide such a processing method as being easily carried out and hard to generate any damage such as a crack, at the time of grinding an oxide super electric conductive bulk body in a shape like a column, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: By using a columnar metal bond diamond grinding wheel 6 provided with the R part 6A of about 1mm on the entire periphery of its end part and 200mm in its diameter and 10mm in its height at 2800r.p.m., by grinding 15mm of respective end parts 2 on both sides after brinding the R part 6A in contact with the end parts 2 on both sides of bismuth system super electric conductive bulk body 1 with about 5mm diameter and 130mm in its length so as to obtain processed goods having columnar projection 3, 3 with 4mm diameter and 15mm length in the nearly central position of both ends of a column with 5mm in its diameter and 120mm in its length and the R part 1A of about 1mm is formed around the base part of each of these projections 3. Grindability is favorable and a crack is not recognized when the ground surface 1B and R part 1A of the processed part is observed by a substance microscope. An indium electrode is formed on each of projections 3 of both ends of this processed part and the electrode is not broken, though soldering is applied on a cupper block.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
