PURPOSE: To provide a cultivation box having a specific structure, used for growing plants on the side surfaces of a space such as the wall surfaces of a building or the outside of a veranda, and constructed so as to cover the whole box with the plants. ;CONSTITUTION: The cultivation box is characterized by integrating a plant- growing section and a water tank having an automatically water-sucking mechanism with an outer shell 1 comprising a low heat-conductive element material (e.g. FRP), increasing the height of the plant-growing section on the boundary plate between the plant-growing section and the water tank to cover the whole body of the box, vertically arranging plural planting windows 2, 3 having a suitable size in response to the size of the target plant on both the front and side surfaces of the outer shell 1 or on only the front surface when the box has a thin shape, and inserting a plant-holding inner plate having grooves for preventing the movement of the plants on the inside of the outer shell.
