INSPECTING METHOD OF LENGTH OF CYLINDRICAL SECTION IN BOTTOMED CYLINDRICAL WORK

PURPOSE: To inspect whether or not the length of a cylindrical section has specified dimensions simply and efficiently by horizontally observing the top face of a measuring jig and the opening end face of the cylindrical section and visually observing displacement in the vertical direction of the top face and the opening end face. ;CONSTITUTION: A tappet 1 to be measured is invertedly placed on a surface plate A, a jig body 9 is inserted into a cylindrical section 2 by holding a grip section 8, and a ring-shaped piece 10 is made to abut on the top wall 3. The top face 9a of the main body 9 and the end face 2a of the cylindrical section 2 are horizontally observed simultaneously from the upper section of the upper extension of the main body 9. Since the vertical length of the main body 9 is made equal to the length of the cylindrical section 2 in a stock item at that time, whether or not the size of the cylindrical section 2 is kept at a specific value can be decided easily when displacement in the vertical direction of the end face 2a to the top face 9a is visually observed. That is, the cylindrical section 2 has a specified size when the end face 2a and the face 9a are aligned in the same surface, and the length longer (shorter) than specific size of the cylindrical section 2 is judged when the end face 2a is placed at a position higher (lower) than the top face 9a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
