STAR GLOBE FOR INDICATING CONSTELLATION POSITION

PURPOSE: To enable anyone to easily know the main constellation positions over the entire sphere at the present time in any places throughout Japan by fixing a constellation board by using a constellation fastener to the revolving shaft of the constellation board of a holder supported by a strut and providing this constellation board with a finder at its central position. ;CONSTITUTION: The holder 4 is fixed to the perpendicularly erected strut 10 and the direction of the holder 4 is correctly set at the north and south direction marked at the holder 4. The constellation board 1 is inserted onto the revolving shaft 3 of the constellation board and the constellation board fastener 5 is screwed to the front end of the revolving shaft 3 to fix thc constellation board 1. In such a case, the constellation board 1 and a constellation board piece 2 attain the state of indicating the celestial sphere of this time when the date and time of observation, the latitude of an observation point and the bearing of the holder 4 are respectively adjusted and fixed. The actual star exists on the extension line connecting the central point of the finder 7 and the stars marked at the board 1 and the piece 2. Then, the star drawn on the board 1, etc., and the actual star are visible in superposition by bringing the eye close to the finder 7 and looking up the night sky with the one eye on the finder side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
