PURPOSE: To generate an appropriate action in a target object by processing a series of change to a source object inside a processor object in response to the dropping of the source object onto the target object. ;CONSTITUTION: The object of a clock 64 (intervention object) is added to a work desk and displayed in one of windows. For instance, a user who wants to mail a note at three o'clck in the morning adds the note 60 (source object) to a pointer, drags the note 60 through the object of the clock 64 and drops it onto an out basket 40 (target object.) Then, a pop-up 66 is generated and the user becomes able to specify the accurate time to send the note 60.
