PURPOSE: To perform non-contact and yet absolutely reliable ignition, and in addition explode a main charge after a required delay period by using two completely identical fuses disposed behind the charge as independent components having no electrical contact therebetween. CONSTITUTION: A fuse 3 of a preliminary charge 1 is also composed of a piezoelectrical percussion fuse which can be triggered by shockwaves, and the construction of a housing 5. The arrangement of the fuses 3 and 4, and the material composition of the housing 5 are selected such that the propagation time of the shockwave imparts a required delay period.
