Working a plate in a plasma cutting machine which cuts materials using a stable plasma arc, and in a plasma torch has magnetic flux focused at a density of greater than 10 gausses but smaller than 200 gausses by a magnetising unit (4) arranged near an electrode (2) of a plasma torch (100) in a range from near the surface of the electrode material (3) fastened to the tip of the electrode to near a nozzle port (1b) of a nozzle (1), and a material (26) is cut by the plasma arc injected from the nozzle (1) that has a diameter of smaller than 1.5mm.
