PURPOSE: To provide the compact connection part of excellent characteristics by extending a microstrip conductor to an opening slot, terminating it at a T type microstrip connection point provided with two arms and providing the arms with the length of 1/4 wavelength of the center frequency of an operating frequency. ;CONSTITUTION: The end pant 54 of a waveguide 52 is terminated at a slot 56 provided with a cavity excited by a T type microstrip line 58 behind. The slot 56 is positioned at the center of the end part 54 of the waveguide 52. A conductive material layer 64 is provided on the first surface facing the inside of the waveguide of a dielectric base body 62 for terminating the end part 54 and the microstrip conductor 58A is provided on a second surface on an opposite side. The conductor 58A is extended to the opening slot 56 and terminated at the T type microstrip connection point 58 provided with the two arms 58B and 58C extended in opposite directions. The arms 58B and 58C are extended from the end part of the conductor 58A along the slot 56 and provided with the length of about 1/4 wavelength at the center frequency of the operating frequency of the connection part 58.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
