SWIVEL TYPE RECLINING/ROCKING CHAIR WITH BASE ASSEMBLY TO WHICH PRE-LOAD IS APPLIED

PURPOSE: To restrict reclining and rear rocking by giving a greater pulling force to a rear part spring among front and rear springs fixed to a part of a rocking block and base assembly by way of upper and lower bracket members and slightly reclining a seat. CONSTITUTION: Coil springs 38a, 38b in each spring assembly 34 are attached to each rocking block 26 by way of an upper bracket member 36 and fixed to a pair of the side members 42 of the base assembly 44 by way of a lower bracket member 40. A lower plate 58 of a swivel plate assembly 54 is fixed to a swivel foundation member 60 to perform a swivel motion. Further, by means of a pulling force of the coil spring 38a so as for a chair slightly to recline, the vertical distance between the rocking block 26 and a hole of the lower bracket member 40 is adjusted. As a result, when a person stands up from the seated position, the chair will not rock forward.
