PURPOSE:To obtain a joint sheet excellent in processability, mechanical strengths and heat resistance, by mixing a base fiber comprising an inorganic fiber except asbestos and sepiolite with a rubber material and a rubber chemicals. CONSTITUTION:A joint sheet containing a base fiber comprising an inorganic fiber except asbestos and sepiolite, a rubber material and rubber chemicals. As said sepiolite, one having a fiber length of about 3-3,000mu is used, and one having an average diameter of 0.01-20mu is desirable. Said sepiolite is used in an amount of 5-80wt.%, preferably, 20-60wt.%, based on the joint sheet. When sepiolite alone is used as the base fiber, the obtained joint sheet is excellent in mechanical strengths such as tensile strength, but is inferior in heat resistance undesirably. Said rubber material plays a role of bonding said fibers, and examples of said rubber material include nitrile, styrene/butadiene and natural rubbers.
