PURPOSE: To follow the displacement of a pipe even when it is largely curved, and keep satisfactory water stopping property. ;CONSTITUTION: This water stopping flexible joint for manhole, which is a flexible joint for manhole applied to the joint part between a manhole 9 and a pipe 10, is formed of a cylindrical part concentrically inserted to the end part of a pipe, a protruding part 3 axially protruded on one end part of the cylindrical part, and an edge part 4 mounted in a collar form in the radial direction of the cylindrical part. In such a flexible joint, the protruding part 3 has a recessed part 6 provided on the boundary between the cylindrical part 2 and the edge part 4. In the constructing method of the water stopping flexible joint for manhole having the above structure, the protruding part 3 is inserted to a hole 9a bored in the outer wall of the manhole 9 to a specific position together with the pipe 10 held by the cylindrical part through a pressure sensitive adhesive layer 7, and the edge part 4 having a pressure sensitive adhesive 5 stuck thereto is stuck to the outer 2 wall surface of the manhole 9 to which an adhesive 11 is applied, and the part of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 7 of the cylindrical part 2 is fastened, and pressed and fixed by a fastening band 8 from the outside.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
