PURPOSE: To process the area calculation at a high speed by making each processor of one processor group take charge of area calculation for projected area of an object to each face of a semicube with respect to form factor calculation. ;CONSTITUTION: Form factor calculation is performed with one or more processor groups each of which consists of plural processors. One processor group takes charge of one step of converging calculation of the solution of the Radio city method. Each processor of one processor group takes charge of area calculation for the projected area of the object to each face of the semicube (steps 401 and 402) at least in the form factor calculation. Since each processor of one processor group takes charge of area calculation for the projected area of the object to each face of the semicube in the form factor calculation in this manner, area calculation is processed at n-fold speed ((n) is the number of processors in one processor group).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
