PURPOSE: To contain a non-alignment type bearing, the outer peripheral surface of which forms a column surface, in a bearing box the inner peripheral surface of which is formed in a spherical surface-form state and to provide an alignment function. ;CONSTITUTION: In a holding tool for a bearing fitted externally of a non-alignment type bearing 3 the outer peripheral surface of which forms a columnar surface, the holding tool for a bearing comprises a pair of ring bodies 2a and 2b pressed in and fitted in externally of the outer peripheral surface of the bearing 3 from both sides thereof.
