METHOD FOR CALCULATING TRANSMISSION CAPACITY AND TRAFFIC FLOW

PURPOSE: To provide a method for calculating transmission capacity and traffic flow in which a call loss rate is secured impartially between paths. ;CONSTITUTION: A partial differentiation value of a call loss rate with respect to a transmission capacity in plural paths to which an exchange node is terminated for each exchange node and a partial differentiation value of a call loss rate to a traffic flow are obtained (S101). Then the fixed part and the proportional part of the call loss rate to the traffic flow to be minimized in common to all paths accommodated to a same transmission line are calculated based on each obtained partial differentiation value (S102). Then the minimum value of the worst value of the communication quality of each path and the optimum value of the traffic flow providing the minimum value are calculated based on the fixed part and the proportional part to be calculated and the traffic flow preservation rule (S103). Then the optimum value of the transmission capacity is calculated based on the minimum value of the worst value of the communication quality of each path and the optimum value of the traffic flow providing the minimum value to be calculated (S104).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
