PURPOSE: To improve the maintainability and to reduce the overlap of processing by previously avoiding the circulation of a retrieving route caused by an alternative node. ;CONSTITUTION: When adding a correspondent object D616 responsing to the adding request of the node by respectively providing procedures 600 for detecting the circulation of the retrieving route caused by the alternative path at respective objects while making nodes forming the constitutive units of information managed by an information managing system correspondent to the object- oriented objects, the object identifier of an object C613 corresponding to the node to be the direct higher order to a node to be added is sent to an object A612 corresponding to a node to be functioned as the alternative node and it is discriminated by respective objects in a partial tree equipped with the destination of this transmission at the head according to the circulation detecting procedure 600 whether an object equipped with the object identifier exists in that partial tree or not so that the circulation of the retrieving route can be detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
