PURPOSE: To provide a treatment method which is capable of shortening the time for preparation, and more specifically, assembling and disassembling the lower die and upper die of a press die assembly in a short time in a simple form with the apparatus for producing press plate bodies, especially corrugated plates to be treated by the plate press machine and the press die assembly. ;CONSTITUTION: When a press die exchange vehicle 1 is advanced together with a press die basket into the plate press machine of an open state and is made to travel therein, the vehicle is first directly coupled to a chain transmission member and the remaining pushing movement is made to remain as it is, following which a connecting rod 10 is inserted between the press die exchange vehicle 1 and the chain transmission member 4 and the remaining pushing movement is indirectly executed by the chain transmission member 4.
