PURPOSE: To provide a medium containing inulin as a carbon source and a prescribed amount of a yeast extract, enabling selective cultivation of inulin- decomposing microorganism, effective for suppressing the growth of other microorganisms and useful e.g. for the production of fructose, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: This medium contains inulin as a carbon source and has a yeast extract content of 0-0.02% and pH of ≤4.0. It is preferable to carry out the accumulation culture of inulin-decomposing microorganism existing in a specimen by using the medium and screen the cultured microorganism.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
