INTER-TERMINAL COMMUNICATION PROVIDING SYSTEM FOR COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: To provide an effective network using a waveguide and optical switching by connecting two terminals by a space division photonic switch, impressing data to input signals by one of the terminals, forming output signals and forming a communication network. ;CONSTITUTION: A primary terminal 12 receives the data from an input/output bus 14 and transmits the data through a waveguide subscriber 28 to a remote node 38 for instance. The terminal 12 is provided with a processor 100, a transmitter 102 and a receiver 104 and the node 38 is provided with the space division photonic switch 105, a downstream switch 106 and an upstream switch 108. Then, transmission is performed from the node 38 through respective waveguide subscriber lines 40, 42, 44, 46 and 48 for instance to appropriate secondary terminals 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58 for instance.
