PURPOSE: To prevent the sliding part of a piston rod from being damaged at the time of calking by inserting the other end side of the piston rod held by a holding jib in a calking unit with a calking die. ;CONSTITUTION: A piston rod 2 is held in the vertical state by inserting one tip part 2b of the piston rod 2 in the holding hole 12a of the inner holder 12 of a holding jig 3. The calking unit 4 of a rebound sheet calking device 1 is descended, and the other tip part 2c of the piston rod 2 is inserted in the insertion hole of a ram member 17 with a piston through a rebound sheet 5. The rebound sheet 5 is staked on the piston rod 2 with a calking die by supplying a working hydraulic pressure in a cylinder member 15 and by descending the ram member 17. A calking load is received by sheet holder 28 and base plate 27 mounted on the cylinder member 15, and the sliding part 2a of the piston rod 2 comes into contact with the calking unit 4 to prevent a scratch, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
