PURPOSE: To provide a method for calling automatic answering telephone set and the automatic answering telephone set capable of alarming urgency only in the case of urgent call which can not be coped with leaving a message. ;CONSTITUTION: A conventional automatic answering telephone set is provided with an urgent call tone generating part 108 and a push button signal sequence discriminating part 109, and a specified push button signal sequence is previously set to the push button signal sequence discriminating part 109 so as to be discriminated. When a telephone number is inputted from a main wire 101 and the specified push button signal sequence is inputted successively, the push button signal sequence discriminating part 109 discriminates the input of the specified push button signal sequence, and urgent call tone different from a normal call tone is generated from the urgent call tone generating part 108 and urgency is alarmed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
