METHOD FOR REINFORCING PRESTRESSED BRIDGE BY LOWER CABLE

PURPOSE:To reinforce a bridge by a simple means without spoiling the beauty of the bridge. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of reinforcing lower cables 1 are so arranged that they are extended from the longitudinal ends of a bridge 2 to a longitudinal middle section of the bridge 2, and one end of each of the reinforcing lower cables 1 is fixed to both ends of the bridge 2 with post-cast concrete in a level higher than the other end side. The other end of each of the reinforcing forcing lower cables 1 is inserted in a bearing member 4 fixed to the lower part of the middle of the bridge 2, and each of the reinforcing lower cables 1 is fixed to the bearing member 4 with a metal fixture 5 in a tensile state.
